ACCESS OPTIONS

Access Options has been serving people with disabilities in  the Bay Area for over 20 years.  We  have seen the industry change over the years, from a small manufacturer model to where the industry is today, with more of an auto dealer model.  As with most change, there are positives and negatives that go along with the change.  In this case, as we see it, people with disabilities are served better in some regards and worse in others.  When we started 20 years ago in Watsonville, each vehicle was modified one at a time around the specific needs of an individual.  Today, most people with disabilities are pushed to purchase a more standard product, the lowered floor mini-van.  This modification is done in a factory setting, and then available for purchase in either of our facilities, Watsonville and Sunnyvale.  Any modification needed for the individual is then added to this platform.  Needs are still being met, but instead of the vehicle being fit to the individual, now the individual is fit to the vehicle.  This has lead to the advent of a used car dealer mentality in our industry, i.e. "what will it take for you to buy this vehicle today?"  Call us old fashioned if you will, but our focus has not changed.  Our only concern is making sure that the needs of our clients are met and that our customers get what they need to be as active and mobile as they possibly can be, even if they are not going to purchase a vehicle TODAY.  We still service all adaptive modifications, no matter how old, or who installed them. 

That being said, we do offer a large selection of pre-modified vehicles available for sale.   We are still able to provide safe, custom modifications for an individual's specific needs, even if they don't "fit in the box".  Don't be fooled by claims of "the largest selection of this or that in this or that region".  The fact is that we have hundreds of vehicles readily available, even though we don't claim to be the largest.

We try to offer unsurpassed customer service at all times to everyone, even if they don't have the budget to replace their older vehicle.  We don't have huge car lots, or freeway frontage, nor do we ever expect to.  Remember, FREEWAY FRONTAGE WILL NEVER REPLACE SERVICE !!!  Come into either of our locations and experience the Access Options difference.
